Editorial Standards

Last updated: May 2026  |  How KairosTrue researches, writes, verifies and publishes financial analysis

KairosTrue holds itself to the standard of a world-class financial media institution from the first article it publishes to the last. These Editorial Standards are not aspirational. They are operational. Every piece of content published on this platform is subject to them without exception.

Our Editorial Mission

KairosTrue exists to close the gap between global financial events and genuine public understanding. Our editorial mission is to produce financial analysis that is accurate, independent, well-sourced and clear — content that a sophisticated investor finds rigorous and a curious newcomer finds accessible. We do not publish for the sake of publishing. We publish when we have something precise and valuable to say.

The Kairos principle applies to everything we produce. The right information, at the right moment, delivered in exactly the right way. Every article on KairosTrue is an expression of that standard.

The Six Principles We Work By

01
Accuracy Above EverythingEvery factual claim in a KairosTrue article must be verifiable from a credible, authoritative source. We do not publish assertions we cannot substantiate. Data points, figures, dates, names and institutional positions are verified before publication. Where data is sourced from a third party, it is cited. Where uncertainty exists, it is stated clearly — not hidden.
02
Absolute Editorial IndependenceNo advertiser, commercial partner, financial institution or external party has any influence over what KairosTrue covers, how it covers it, or what conclusions it reaches. Advertising relationships are managed entirely separately from editorial decisions. KairosTrue does not accept payment for editorial coverage, positive analysis, rankings or mentions of any kind. Our independence is non-negotiable.
03
Source TransparencyKairosTrue cites its sources. Primary sources — central bank statements, regulatory filings, official economic data, earnings reports — are always preferred over secondary sources. Where we reference news reporting or third-party analysis, we identify the source. We do not treat information as fact simply because it is widely repeated. We trace claims to their origin.
04
Distinction Between Fact and AnalysisKairosTrue produces both reporting on financial events and analytical commentary on what those events mean. We are rigorous about keeping these clearly distinguished. Factual reporting presents what happened. Analysis presents our interpretation of what it means. Readers always know which they are reading. Opinion is never presented as established fact.
05
Clarity and PrecisionFinancial complexity is not an excuse for unclear writing. KairosTrue exists specifically because financial content is often inaccessible to intelligent people who lack specialised vocabulary. Every article we produce must be understood by a motivated non-specialist without sacrificing analytical depth. Jargon is explained the first time it appears. Complexity is structured, not amplified.
06
Accountability and CorrectionKairosTrue makes mistakes. Every serious media organisation does. What distinguishes serious organisations from the rest is how they handle errors. When we get something wrong — a figure, a date, a name, a factual claim — we correct it promptly, transparently and completely. We do not quietly edit articles without acknowledgement. Our full Corrections Policy is published separately.

What We Cover and Why

KairosTrue covers global financial markets, macroeconomic policy, corporate earnings, central bank decisions and geopolitical developments that directly affect financial markets. We select topics based on their significance to our audience — not their viral potential, not their controversy, not their volume of search traffic alone.

The Kairos principle governs topic selection as much as it governs writing. We ask: is this the right moment for this analysis? Does our audience need this now? Does this piece add genuine value that they cannot get more clearly or accurately elsewhere? If the answer is no, we do not publish.

How We Verify Information

Every factual claim in a KairosTrue article is sourced from one or more of the following categories of primary or authoritative secondary source:

  • Official publications from central banks — Federal Reserve, ECB, Bank of England, Bank of Japan and others
  • Government statistical agencies — Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office for National Statistics, Eurostat and equivalents
  • International financial institutions — IMF, World Bank, Bank for International Settlements, OECD
  • Regulatory bodies — SEC, FCA, ESMA and relevant national regulators
  • Publicly filed corporate documents — earnings reports, SEC filings, annual reports, investor presentations
  • Established financial data providers — Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, S&P Global, MSCI
  • Peer-reviewed academic research from recognised financial economics institutions
  • Established financial news organisations where primary source data is not directly available

We do not cite social media, anonymous sources, unverified internet commentary or publications with no established editorial standard as primary sources of financial data.

Conflicts of Interest

KairosTrue has a strict conflicts of interest policy. We do not publish analysis of any company, security or financial instrument in which KairosTrue's operators hold a direct financial position without full disclosure of that position within the article. Where a potential conflict exists, it is disclosed prominently. Where a conflict cannot be adequately disclosed or managed, the topic is not covered.

This policy extends to advertising relationships. Advertisers receive no editorial benefit, no positive coverage and no influence over KairosTrue's analysis by virtue of their advertising relationship with us.

Sponsored and Labelled Content

KairosTrue may occasionally publish content produced in partnership with commercial organisations. Where this occurs, the content is clearly and prominently labelled as "Sponsored Content" or "Produced in Partnership with [Partner Name]" at the top of the article. Sponsored content is subject to the same factual accuracy standards as editorial content, but readers should be aware that it represents a commercial arrangement.

Sponsored content will never misrepresent KairosTrue's editorial position, contradict our independent analysis, or contain claims that do not meet our accuracy standards. We will not enter a sponsored content arrangement with any organisation whose products or values conflict with the interests of our audience.

Use of AI and Automated Tools

KairosTrue may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with research, data aggregation and drafting support. All content published on KairosTrue — regardless of the tools used in its production — is reviewed, verified, edited and approved by a human editor before publication. AI-assisted content is held to exactly the same accuracy, independence and clarity standards as all other content on this platform. The use of AI tools does not reduce or replace editorial responsibility.

The Standard in One Sentence

Every article published on KairosTrue must be something we would be comfortable defending in front of the editorial board of the Financial Times. That is the standard. That is what we hold ourselves to.
